Susan Navey-Davis,
North Carolina University

Susan oversees various programs at North Carolina State University as Director of Undergraduate Advising, and Program Coordinator for Spanish Teacher Education as well as Lower Division Spanish Courses; however, she finds time to devote to her students and professional organizations.  Her accomplishments are many and she has the respect of her students and colleagues. 

Highlight Activities

Member, Board of Directors (2007 – present) Cooperación Ortopédica Americano-Nicaragüense; Commissioner (2006-present) College Board Spanish Language Commission

Professional Presentations (1993-current) Frequently multiple presentations within a single year for such groups as the following: ACTFL, SCOLT, FLANC, NECTFL, and various school systems in North Carolina in addition to professional development workshops conduced at various colleges and universities.

Publishing:  Co-authored four publications since 2001.

FLANC Educator of the Year, Higher Education (2006); NC State— College of Humanities and Social Sciences Outstanding Lecturer Award (2005-2006); NC State— College of Humanities and Social Sciences for Excellence in Teaching (1991, 1996 & 1999); NC State—College of Humanities and Social Sciences Outstanding Advising Award (1998); NC State—Outstanding Extension Service Award (1994)
